The City of Bowie, Maryland requests proposals from qualified respondents for a long-term lease of the real property located at 6300 Crain Highway (the “Site”) and the improvement, repair, renovation, maintenance and public showing of the Williams Plains House located thereon, which is listed on the National Registry of Historical Places. It is intended that the individual or firm chosen to undertake the work and occupy the Facility will act in the capacity of a curator.
Williams Plains is a two and a half story brick house which dates to the early 19th century (approx.1811-1813). In the early 20th century, a lower two-story wing was added to the home. The house sits upon approximately 1.86 acres.

Electronic (pdf) proposals will be received via email to Robin Jones at until 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 30, 2021. The City of Bowie reserves the right to reject any and all proposals.
All interested parties are required to visit the Site for a walk through with the project manager. Site visits may be scheduled on Mondays during the hours of 10am – 3pm (except for City holidays) by contacting Susan Proctor at 301-809-3089 .

Written responses to all questions and/or clarifications will be issued no later than Monday, June 14, 2021 to all those who request the RFP.
