2014 marks the bicentennial of the War of 1812 in Prince George's County. "The Enemy is Nearly All 'Round Us" offers a look at the impact of the war on Annapolis and our area. Citizens feared the British invasion, slaves fled to British lines, and the infamous "Bladensburg Races" underscored the need for a "professional" American armed forces. Leave your thoughts on running away, view family objects from the time period, and have a small peek at childhood during the War. This exhibit is offered with the assistance of the Maryland State Archives Commission on Artistic Property. Exhibit available during Museum Open Hours - Tuesday through Sunday, noon - 4 p.m.
