[ARCHIVED] Arbor Day Celebration is April 18th at 10 a.m.

The City of Bowie’s annual Arbor Day observance ceremonies will be conducted at Acorn Hill Park located on Stonybrook Drive at Sage Lane in Bowie on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 10 a.m.

Ceremonies include the presentation of the Tree City USA award and the Maryland PLANT award to the City of Bowie. These awards are granted annually to those communities meeting prescribed objectives in the planting, maintenance, and preservation of the urban forest. Highlighting the ceremony will be the planting of both an Arbor Day Tree and recognition of the cooperation between the City of Bowie and our residents. Arbor Day note cards will be given out to all program
attendees, compliments of the City of Bowie.
