The festival features live music and dance, arts and craft vendors, street entertainers, children’s activities, a juried art show, and more.
Enjoy a variety of music, from R&B, Jazz, and Reggae, to bagpipes, on multiple stages. This year, one stage is devoted solely to international dancers and music and will feature performers who have previously been seen at the Bowie International Festival. Festivalgoers can also savor local and ethnic foods and shop with artisans and crafters.
Children will find plenty to do. They can explore a special children’s area, with games and hands-on activities. As they move through the festival, they can collect stamps in a festival “passport” to earn a prize. Children and the young at heart can marvel at a stiltwalker, unicyclist, and magicians, and ride the mini-train along Heritage Hiking/Bike Trail.
The festival is co-sponsored by the Old Bowie Arts & Heritage Committee and the City of Bowie.
