[ARCHIVED] Arts and Education Scholarships for High School Seniors

All students must live within the incorporated city limits of Bowie.  The following scholarships are available this year:             

  1. The City of Bowie Excellence in Education Scholarship- 3 to 6 scholarships, totaling $5,000. This scholarship is intended to recognize outstanding Bowie students who are in financial need.  Schools may nominate students who meet our criteria and establish a financial need.  Only the principal or guidance counselor may submit the application. The student or parent cannot submit the application. 
  1. The City of Bowie Arts Scholarship– At least 1 scholarship totaling $1,000. Applicants must have applied to an accredited post-secondary or specialized school and have declared an intent to major in an arts related field. Possible disciplines may include: Photography, Studio and Performing Arts, Graphic Design, Arts Entertainment and Media Management, Architecture, Arts Education, Game and Interactive Media Design, Cinematography and Film/Video Production, Commercial and Advertising Arts, Art History, Art or Music Therapy)or Performing Arts program. Students may apply on their own.  Please visit the Arts Committee webpage for the application.
