The City of Bowie received Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding on an annual basis from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to support a variety of on-going programs offered to City of Bowie residents. These programs include the Single-Family Home Rehabilitation Grants, the Workforce Development Program, Fair Housing Education, and other activities including COVID relief programs.
Each year, the City of Bowie Office of Grant Development and Administration produces a Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) on the outcomes and achievements of the City’s CDBG programs. The findings of this report will be presented to the public via a virtual hearing at 7 pm on Wednesday, September 28, 2022. Interested members of the public should attend this meeting to ask questions about the CDBG program achievements and the City’s grant funded programs. You can attend the hearing at https://bowie.fyi/bowiecaperpublichearing. Current and past CAPER documents can be found online at www.cityofbowie.org/CAPER
