Join members of the Bowie Green Team on April 2 at 9 a.m. for a morning of removing English Ivy, an invasive vine that grows all over trees, from the forest of Whitemarsh Park. Students can earn service-learning hours and Scouts can work towards their badges, but must be at least 14 years old to participate. Tools and training are provided on-site by both City staff and Green Team volunteers. There is both poison ivy and tics on site so we ask everyone to wear long pants, long sleeve shirts, sock, and closed-toe shoes. Sunblock and water are wise to bring as well.
