[ARCHIVED] South Lake Development Public Hearings Scheduled

South Lake is a mixed-use community proposed on 381.52 acres located in the southwestern quadrant of the U.S. Route 301/MD Route 214 (Central Avenue) interchange. The project includes: several types of dwelling units; recreational amenities and a clubhouse for residents; office/retail space; and, three hotels. Detailed Site Plan #DSP-19023, which is the subject of the City’s upcoming public hearings, proposes to construct a portion of this project that will include: 1,035 residential dwelling units (344 single-family detached units, 563 townhouse units and 128 condominium units); and, a 5,272+/- sq. ft. clubhouse, trails and other recreational amenities on 282.97 acres. 

Public hearings for this Detailed Site Plan will be heard by the Bowie Advisory Planning Board (BAPB) on Tuesday, November 12th at 7 p.m., and by the Bowie City Council on Monday, December 2nd at 8 p.m. Both hearings will take place in the Council Chambers in Bowie City Hall, located at 15901 Excalibur Road, Bowie.  If you have any questions you may contact Frank Stevens at or 301-809-3047.  Public Hearing Notice
