Traffic Calming Measures for Belair Drive
Workers will be installing traffic calming measures to reduce speeds and hopefully to discourage some cut through traffic from MD 450 and MD 3. The Belair Drive work will be done in two phases. The first phase, from Beechtree Lane to Kenhill Drive begins May 28 and will include speed cushions, raised crosswalks, and stop signs at Kenhill Drive and at Stonybrook Drive. The Belair Drive Phase 1 Plan was first presented to stakeholders in 2017.
Phase 2, which will address new measures from Kenhill Drive to Annapolis Road (MD 450), is still in the planning stages. A Stakeholders Open House on the Phase 2 project is scheduled for June 18, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Kenhill Center. Residents are invited to learn about the preliminary plans and offer their input.
