The City of Bowie’s annual Arbor Day observance ceremonies will be conducted at Acorn Hill Park located on Stonybrook Drive at Sage Lane in Bowie on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 10 a.m.

Ceremonies include the presentation of the Tree City USA award for the 27th consecutive year as well as the Maryland PLANT award to the City of Bowie. These awards are granted annually to those communities meeting prescribed objectives in the planting, maintenance, and preservation of the urban forest.  Highlighting the ceremony will be the planting of an Arbor Day Tree as well as the ongoing cooperation between the City of Bowie and our residents.  There will also be the acknowledgement of Memorial Trees planted in 2019.  Arbor Day note cards will be given out to all program attendees, compliments of the City of Bowie.
