On Wednesday, May 30, 2018 from 6:00 p.m.to 9:00 p.m. Prince George’s County Department of Public Works and Transportation (DPWT&T) will host a public information session at Yorktown Elementary School. They are in the design process to improve pedestrian walkways and access to Race Track Road between Clearfield Drive and Marquette Lane. Officials from the County DPW&T staff will be there to discuss their plans. Proposed improvements include new signals, new crosswalks, construction of a hiker-biker sidewalk, and relocation of the Yorktown Elementary School driveway entrance. Maps and displays will provide information and residents can pose questions of DPW& T staff members. You may arrive at any time during the meeting hours and walk through the display area at your own pace.
