The City of Bowie was approved by the State Smart Growth Subcabinet as a "Sustainable Community" in May 2013. The City of Bowie's Sustainable Communities Plan Update and its application to the State for renewal will be presented at the City Council meeting and Public Hearing on April 16, 2018.
