The City of Bowie’s Annual Holiday House Decorating Contest is approaching! Brighten up for the holidays by entering your house, or a friend, or neighbor’s home. Prizes include two $100 Family Awards, ten Best of Bowie Awards, and ten Spirit Awards. The Best of Bowie recipients will receive a White House ornament and the Spirit Award recipients will receive a Belair Mansion ornament.
The contest is free to enter and open to any resident within City limits who submits an entry form by the deadline. Entry forms are available at the link. They may also be picked up at City Hall.
On the entry form, residents must select the appropriate category: Colonial, Religious or Traditional. Entry forms must be returned to City Hall by Monday, December 11, 2017 at 5:00 PM. Lights and decorations should be visible when judging takes place on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 from 6 - 11 p.m.
Adults who are interested in being a judge are encouraged to contact City Hall.
All contest entrants are invited to a Holiday Awards Reception at City Hall on Monday, December 18, 2017 at 7 p.m.
