Trimming of street trees takes place in City neighborhoods every 4 to 5 years. The City uses its own employees as well as contracted companies to do the work. Signs are posted at the entrance of the affected neighborhoods, as well as throughout the neighborhood a few days before trimming begins. Only street trees will be trimmed.
Tree trimming is in progress in the following neighborhoods:
- Longleaf Section
- Woodmore Highlands
Lewis Tree Service has begun trimming in Mitchellville East neighborhood.
