This goal was achieved thanks to the 12 schools, eight community sites (one house of worship, one community garden, two businesses, four City facilities), and 219 homes that have become Certified Backyard Habitats, as well as the ongoing education and outreach work of the Bowie Gardens 4 Wildlife (BG4W) group. BG4W and the Green Team will host a celebratory reception with light refreshments on December 5, 2016, in the City Hall lobby at 7:00 p.m. Following the reception, BG4W and the Green Team will present the City’s official certificate to Council.
