Trimming of street trees takes place in City neighborhoods every 4 to 5 years. The City uses its own employees as well contracted companies to do the work. Signs are posted at the entrance to the affected neighborhoods, as well as throughout the neighborhood a few days before trimming begins. Only street trees will be trimmed.

Tree trimming in the Chapel Forge and Overbrook neighborhoods is completed. City tree crews began tree trimming in Covington Manor on November 7, 2016. Lewis Tree Service is currently in the Rockledge section of Bowie.
