Welcome to the City of Bowie's Field Status Alert page. This page provides field users with a convenient way to receive field playability or closure information for City owned fields. Alerts will be updated by 4:20 p.m. on weekdays (Monday - Friday). Alerts will be updated by 7:20 a.m. and 11:20 a.m. on weekends. To be instantly notified of alerts subscribe to Notify Me or RSS.

Notifications can also be received by calling the City's field status recording at 301-262-6200, extension 1909. This line is updated at 4 p.m. and on weekends at 7 a.m. and 11 a.m. or as field status changes.

Please note, the City of Bowie does not inspect or determine playability at public schools or at Maryland National Capital Park and Planning properties.

Notice: Bowie High School on lockdown

As of 1:05 pm: Bowie HS is on lockdown due to a report of someone carrying a gun in the area near the school. There are no reports of shots fired. Police are on-site at the high school. Please do not go near the school at this time.
