Doing Green Business

Green Bowie Business Program

What is a Green Bowie Business?

Green Bowie Businesses follow environmental or sustainable practices, and they help Bowie as a community by making commitments to help reduce waste, prevent pollution, conserve energy, and save resources. Businesses that certify as a Green Business benefit by recognition and promotion, and they save money.

Green Bowie Business Certification

The no cost Maryland Green Registry is the foundation for the Green Bowie Business Certification Program. Bowie businesses within the incorporated City limits that certify through the state program will have met the requirements for Green Bowie Business Certification. Those that become, or are interested in becoming, a Green Bowie Business will receive additional benefits such as local promotion, support, and resources from the City of Bowie and the Maryland Green Registry.
