In early March all residents of the Gradys Walk subdivision received a letter from the City of Bowie explaining an upcoming project to replace ROW trees in their community. The City is embarking on a 3-year program to remove the Bradford Pear trees located in the ROW in Gradys Walk community and replace them with new flowering street trees. This project is necessary because it has been determined that the Bradford Pear Tree, as it ages, becomes a safety hazard. A meeting had been scheduled for April 9th but due to the COVID19 closures, the meeting had to be cancelled. In lieu of the meeting the video below has been created.
If you have any questions, please contact the City’s Community Forester, Mr. Rick Kellner at 301-809-3061.
