The Parks and Grounds Division of the Community Services Department is responsible for maintenance of City-owned property. This includes a network of parks and recreational facilities, right-of-ways, and beautification areas. There are also 1,100 acres of park land, eight playgrounds, ten ball field complexes, one skate park, and one dog park.
The following are some of the responsibilities of the Parks and Grounds Division:
Tree Maintenance - trimming and removal (trees must reside within city limits and not more than 12 feet onto property).
Parks and Park Ballfields (maintenance and painting) mowing and refuse removal.
Maintenance of Park Playgrounds (inspections and repairs).
Seasonal Leaf Collection.
