Lawn Mower Rebate Program

Buying a new mower? Let us help! City residents* who purchase a new mulching, electric, or manual reel mower are eligible to receive a $50 rebate from the City of Bowie.

• Electric and manual reel mowers reduce carbon emissions and noise

Obtaining a Rebate

To obtain your cash rebate, bring proof of city residency* and the receipt for a mulching, electric, or manual reel mower to the Finance Department at City Hall, 15901 Excalibur Road. If the receipt does not specify that the mower is one of these three types, please also bring a manual or other documentation for the mower.

Finance Department hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. through 5 p.m. Rebates are limited to one per household. If you have questions please call 301-809-3020.

*Only those who live within the municipal limits of the City of Bowie are eligible to receive this rebate. Having a Bowie mailing address does not necessarily mean that you live within the City of Bowie limits. City residents pay property taxes to the City of Bowie and their services (refuse, recycling, leaf collection, etc.) are provided by the city.
