Evelyn was born and raised in Washington, DC, along with her four siblings, to the late Edward Archie, a black-owned drycleaning businessman; community activist and loving father; and the late Arlene Archie, healthcare aide, homemaker, Christian Minister and beautiful mother. Evelyn’s faith, support from family and longtime close friends over the years have been a major factor during life transitions.
