How to Apply for City Committees
Your community needs your involvement. If you would like to serve on a city committee, we ask that you attend a meeting of the committee to get familiarized with the functions of the committee. After you have attended the meeting and find that you are still interested in joining, please fill out the online application form. Alternatively, you may print the application, complete it, and then submit it with a resume or background information to the City Clerk or mail to:

The City Clerk will schedule an interview for the candidate with the City Council. Interviews are generally conducted on Monday evenings prior to a council meeting. The interview provides an opportunity for the City Council and the applicant to get to know each other and allows the applicant to learn more about the activities of the committee.
Once a selection has been made by the Council, the City Clerk will notify the applicant of the appointment and when the swearing in ceremony will occur.
