The Bowie Gymnasium hosts two large events each year for the community, one at the end of summer and the other around the holidays in December.

Back to School Bash 2023

Saturday, August 19, from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

This event offers a variety of fun activities for children 4 - 10 yrs of age. Admission is free with a donation of non-perishable food items for the Bowie Food Pantry.

Activities include:

• Amusement games
• DJ
• Food
• Giveaways & door prizes
• Community Group Demonstrations
• Community Resource Area for parents.

Saturday Fun with Santa 2023 - Saturday, December 9, 2023

Santa Claus takes time out of his busy schedule to pay a visit to the Bowie Gymnasium each year on the second Saturday of December. Kids can pose for a picture with the jolly old elf!

• Moon bounces
• Live holiday music
• Face painting

Families with children age 10 and under are welcome. Admission is $3 or free with a donation of an unwrapped toy for the US Marine Corps Toys for Tots Toy Drive.
