"Outlander" and Maryland Archaeology Exhibit at Belair
Sunday, May 7, 2017
If you're a fan of the smash hit TV show, or the book series, "Outlander" by Diane Gabaldon, or if you're an archaeology buff, spend the afternoon exploring both at the Mansion. The Maryland Archaeology Lab has created a top notch exhibit that explores artifacts from Maryland sites from the time period around the famous "'45," the last Jacobite rebellion in Scotland. Artifacts illustrate the similarity between colonial Maryland and Scotland. Sassenachs and followers of Bonnie Prince Charlie will all enjoy the exhibit. Ladies are invited to have their picture taken with a live sized replica of Jamie Fraser, the series hero. History, romance and science - all combined to enjoy at Belair! This exhibit has been extended until July 31st.
