In November, families will shop, bake, and make plans to gather around the table for Thanksgiving. Please remember those in our community who are struggling to put food on the table or to make ends meet by supporting the Bowie Pantry.
The Bowie Interfaith Pantry and Emergency Aid Fund is a community-based social services program that assists with respect, dignity and without discrimination, those in need in our community. It provides emergency food to those in Bowie and Prince George’s County, and offers financial assistance to residents of the City of Bowie. If the Pantry is unable to meet a need, it will make referrals.
While the Pantry helps those in need all year long, in November they collect items for Thanksgiving meals and accept donations of complete Thanksgiving baskets. If you would like to help, please see a list of desired items on the Pantry's website. The Pantry is located in a blue building behind Kenhill Center at 2614 Kenhill Drive. Its hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m., and the second and fourth Tuesday of each month, 6 - 7 p.m. For more information, please contact the Pantry at 301-262-6765 or firstname.lastname@example.org or visit the Pantry’s website at www.bowiefoodpantry.org.
